Based in N. Fort Myers, FL, Florida Freezer is an asset based 3rd
Party Logistics Provider (3PL) dedicated to providing creative, yet
pragmatic solutions to meet the logistical needs of Florida, and to
find opportunities where others only see problems. The four
principles by which Florida Freezer will conduct business are:

Family Owned and Operated
Florida Freezer is a family owned and operated company with over 45
years in the transportation and warehouse industry. Its owners
and staff are dedicated to providing cost effective and efficient
service for all of your logistical needs.
Our Solutions Team
- Gordon Fay, our founder and senior advisor has served the
transportation industry for over 45 years, specializing in rail
and local trucking to manage the "last mile". Gordon received
his undergraduate degree in Economic from Brown University and his graduate
degree in Transportation Management from Yale University.
- Robert Fay, our President, has spent over 16 years
developing supply chain solutions, concentrating on food
distribution networks, including refrigerated and frozen
storage. Robert received his undergraduate degree in
History from Franklin
& Marshall College, his MBA from Florida Gulf Coast University,
and a graduate degree in Supply Chain Management from
Pennsylvania State University.
- Michael Curley, Vice President - Florida Sales, has over 35
years in the rail and trucking industry, particularly building
rail / truck combinations for unique logistical solutions.
Michael received his undergraduate degree from Eastern College
and is a member of the American Society of Transportation and
Logistics.

- Florida Freezer is located in N. Fort Myers, the in the
heart of Southwest
Florida, allowing for efficient distribution from Sarasota
to Marco Island along the coast and inland from Sebring to
Immokalee.
- 125 miles Equi-distant between Tampa and Fort Lauderdale.
- Located just off I-75 with easy access to all major cities
and ports in Florida.
- Oversized truck dock accommodates all types of trucks and is
geared for cross docking.
- 6 car rail siding with direct to Freezer rail door and
outside dock/ramp.
- Geared to serve your specific needs with a combination of
selection, drive in, and drive through racks, as well as bulk
storage.
- Outside commodity storage for bulk materials such as lumber,
wall board, steel and other building materials.
- Sprinklers and video surveillance throughout the building.
- Central station electronic security.
- Rigorous pest control program, provided by Terminix
Commercial Services.
Inventory Management
- All inventory information is maintained in Inventory TRAKER
2000 Premier Edition, a Windows based inventory management
program.
- Production date and expiration date tracking.
- Batch code/production code tracking.
- FIFO, LIFO, or Production Date stock rotation.
- Our entire warehouse staff is dedicated to achieving our
goals of 100% inventory accuracy and 100% damage free storage.
- Inventory on hand and history reporting available as you
need it.
FAQ's
- When was Florida Freezer built?
Construction of Florida Freezer began in early 1985 and the
facility opened its doors for business in the fall of 1986. The
company and the warehouse was purchased in December 1988 by a
limited partnership and remains under the same ownership today.
- What type of construction materials were used?
The storage areas of the building are constructed of steel
insulated "sandwiched" tilt-up panels around a steel skeleton.
The remaining portion of the building housing the dock, plant
and maintenance rooms, and offices is made of cement block.
- Do you have insurance?
Will my goods be insured? Yes, Florida Freezer does carry
Warehouse Legal Liability insurance, with limits of liability
set in section 9.d of the Non-Negotiable Warehouse Receipt for
all goods stored. However, Florida Freezer does NOT insure the
goods stored by its clients. It is the responsibility of each
client to insure their own goods.
